He tells her about his intentions and that he means well for Kumud and will leave the house when he is convinced that Kumud is free from danger. Dugba leaves the house by making some excuse and Saras follows her fearing that she will give her life like her mother. One day Kumud's family members give a surprise visit and are shocked to see Saraswatichandra there. Everything is back to normal in the house. Everyone is shocked to hear this but Kusum saves the day by taking the blame on herself that she and Naveen like each other and everything in that box belongs to her. He becomes furious and drags Kumud to the living room and insults her in front of the whole family. On the festival of Teej she comes across the letters and earrings of Kumud in Naveen's cupboard and informs Pramad about the same. AKalika becomes suspicious of the fact that something is going on between Naveen and Kumud and starts searching for clues. Pramad tells that inspector Umesh Solankee told him about it.
Kumud is shocked to realize that Pramad knew about Saraswatichandra. At night, Pramad comes home drunk thus stunning the whole family and asks Kumud about Saraswatichandra. Kumud goes to her house for some rasam(ritual) with Pramad. Afterwards, Kumud forgives him when Saras tells her everything which had happened with Saras to Kumud. The story goes on as Saras wanting to help Kumud but doesn't accept because of his previous behavior. Pramad is violent and abusive towards Kumud which puts her in a challenging predicament.
